Sue Gardner is the former Director of and now special advisor to Wikipedia. She's also the only Canadian to make it onto Forbes' The World's 100 Most Powerful Women list. At Wikipedia, Gardner introduced major initiatives focused on organizational maturity, long-term sustainability, and increased participation, reach, and quality of the Foundation's free-knowledge projects. She was formerly head of CBC.ca. Under her leadership, it experienced a historic audience surge and launched many new major multimedia technologies, including podcasting, breaking news alerts, live event blogging, and many forms of user interaction.

Craig is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Agile Software Engineering Research Group within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, working with Professor Frank Maurer. Craig has been working in the area of data visualization for over 10 years. Craig received a PhD in Software Engineering from the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2013. The topic of his thesis was on Collaborative Software Visualization.

Ann Beheler has been in the Information Technology industry for over 30 years, and she is now responsible for Emerging Technology grants at Collin College. In that capacity she leads the National Information, Security, and Geospatial Technologies Consortium, an almost $20 million DOL TAACCCT grant and the National Convergence Technology Center, a $4.4 million National Science Foundation grant. A major focus of these grants is sharing resources including curriculum, equipment and general best practices among 40+ colleges across the United States.

He is a former CIO in the GoA/Department of Environment, has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, and has extensive information technology experience through both industry and public sector. Rylan wanted to create an affordable, simple 3D printer that would be accessible to the masses. Rather than try to create a typical 3D printer using cheaper parts, he decided to invent one from the ground up. With this in mind, he developed the Peachy Printer, the world’s first $100 3D printer. Rylan is a 28-year-old entrepreneur living in Yorkton, Saskatchewan who has worked many fields including pottery, mechanics, advertising, 3D modeling and animation, programming, and more. He is an active member of the Freedom Software Foundation and the Blender community.

Roger is past CFO of Enerjet, a Boeing 737 charter operator specializing in workforce transportation. Prior to working at Calgary Scientific, Cameron was Technical Director of the Grid Research Centre at the University of Calgary. He was also Distributed Systems Architect for WestGrid, a High Performance Computing consortium of 14 institutions in Western Canada.

Nuno is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education degree. He has over 16 years of experience in Information Technology, from coordination of province wide technology training initiatives for the Alberta Public Library Electronic Network (APLEN) project to being responsible for the planning, development and daily IT activities for the Faculty of Native Studies. Nuno also participated in multiple key roles for the Google Apps migration project at the University of Alberta. Currently, Nuno is a Solutions Analyst and the Google Platform Manger with the Information Services and Technology, Solutions & Standards Team.

He spends far too much time writing open source software and far too little time playing the drums. He is active in many automation and testing projects such Chef, Vagrant, and Docker, and is the lead developer of Test Kitchen (an infrastructure testing tool). Fletcher works for Heavy Water Operations, helping companies of all sizes automate and scale their business.

Harold Teunissen leads the Virtualisation, Mobility and Security group at SURFnet, the Dutch Natioanal Research and Educational Network. Harold and his team are responsible for providing a seamless and secure integration of virtualization and community cloud infrastructures independent of place or time. Prior to joining SURFnet, he worked as Research Manager at Bell Labs, the renowed research arm of Alcatel-Lucent. There he led the research for advanded mobile applications and he was involved in the standardization of a.o. IEEE 802.11.

Everett's work at Rackspace involves making OpenStack and the Rackspace Cloud easy to use for developers and operators. Sometimes developer, sometimes advocate, and sometimes operator. He's a committer on Apache jclouds and co-author of the OpenStack Operations Guide. In the past, he's built web applications, taught workshops, and presented at conferences such as Gluecon, OSCON, and the OpenStack Summits. He has also deployed OpenStack in production.

Jason works in the Scientific Networking Division of the Computing Sciences Directorate of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. ESnet is the high performance networking facility of the US Department of Energy Office of Science. Jason's primary responsibilities include working with members of the research community to identify the roll of networking in scientific workflows, evaluate current requirements, and suggest improvements for future innovations. Jason's professional interests include network monitoring and performance measurement, high performance computing, grid computing, and application development.
