iCORE Chair in the running for $85,000 award

Stuart Kauffman is the author of a title on the short list for the Warwick Prize. The prize will be awarded Feb. 24 at the University of Warwick. The publication, Reinventing the Sacred:A New View of Science, Reason and Religion, argues the universe has a creativity to be regarded as divine or sacred, rather than a supernatural god. Kauffman is a Professor of Biological Science and Physics and Astronomy, an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy and the Director of the Institute for Biocomplexity and Informatics at the University of Calgary, as well as the iCORE Chair of Biocomplexity and Informatics.
