AB PSI – CUCCIO Special Interest Groups (SIGs) Pilot Kickoff Session

Cybera and the Canadian University Council of CIOs (CUCCIO) are excited to announce the expansion of participation in the CUCCIO Special Interest Groups to non-CUCCIO post secondary institutions in Alberta. This will be a time bound pilot of approximately 6 months. 

Cybera and CUCCIO are hosting a kickoff session for the AB PSI/CUCCIO SIG pilot project. During the kickoff session we will overview what Special Interest Groups are included in the pilot, the proposed benefits of participating in these groups, the schedules of the ongoing sessions, and a presentation from some of the key SIG team leads. 

During a member engagement initiative in the Fall of 2022, ShareIT members communicated the importance of Cybera continuing to build the Alberta PSI community by coordinating, facilitating, and managing communities of best practice for specific IT functions within the community. Our members have recognized that CUCCIO has the processes and infrastructure in place to support this level of collaboration and have expressed interest in exploring the opportunity to leverage CUCCIO SIGs rather than duplicating the effort at the provincial level. By participating in this pilot, our members will be joining a safe space that will connect peers in an environment that enables them the ability to share knowledge, discuss challenges, contribute detailed information, and celebrate wins. Additionally, these SIGs grant IT individuals the ability to assimilate with new technological areas of interest and engage in an area of expertise collaboration.
