The nearest airport to Banff is the Calgary International Airport.
The drive from the Calgary International Airport to Kananskis takes approximately 75 minutes.
- Depart from airport and take Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2 North)
- Take the exit for Stoney Trail NW heading West, approximately 4 km after arriving on Deerfoot Trail. Signs should indicate it heads towards Banff and Highway 1.
- 23 km later you will have circumvented the city centre, take the exit for Trans-Canada Highway 1 West (Banff).
- Continue West approximately 70 km on the Trans-Canada Highway 1.
- Take exit 118 toward Kananaskis Country.
- Turn left and continue on Kananaskis Trail.
- Turn right onto Mt Allan Dr.
- Turn left onto Centennial Dr.
- The hotel lobbey is directly ahead.
Shuttles to Kananaskis
Brewster Bus Lines operates a shuttle from downtown Calgary or the Calgary airport to the Kananaskis.
*Please note the bus does not go directly to Kananaskis Village. Guests may catch the bus to Kananaskis from the airport, and the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge van will meet the bus will meet the Brewster Airport in the Stoney Nakoda Casino parking lot. Purchasing tickets ahead of time is recommended, however tickets are available for purchase from the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge at Concierge for return trips. If you are coming from downtown Calgary, please advise the Brewster driver that you are going to Kananaskis. The Guest Services team at Kanankaskis Mountain Lodge will call Brewster Calgary Airport at 1:15pm, 3:15pm and 6:15pm (15min prior to departure).
The westbound Brewster leaves Calgary Airport at 1:30pm, 3:30pm and 6:30pm. Please allow 2 hours to get to Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.
The eastbound Brewster leaves Kananaskis Mountain Lodge at 8:00am and 12:00pm. Please allow 2 hours to get to the airport.
