Beginning December 8, Cybera's SecureIT will host a quarterly community conversation with cybersecurity leaders in Alberta’s education (K-12 and PSI) sector. These discussions will be aimed at the folks who act as the bridge between the technical practitioners and the executive-levels in their organizations. They are the ones who live in both worlds, pulling the strategic, the technical, and the tactical (or stratactical) together.

Our first quarterly community call will launch with a discussion on “A day in the life of a CISO” on December 8. During this call, three CISOs from across Canada — Isaac Straley from the University of Toronto, Mark Sly from the University of Calgary, and Gerrit Bos, the shared CISO for Manitoba — have agreed to talk about what they do from day to day, how that differs from their initial expectations, what advice they would give to other education CISOs, along with answering your questions.
