Quarterly Cybersecurity Community Call: Cybersecurity Insurance

Quarterly Cybersecurity Community Call: Cybersecurity Insurance JuneJun 08 2023 01:30pm - 03:00pm

Webinar/Workshop/Info Session

Based on the feedback from Cybera’s members, we are expanding the depth and breadth of our cybersecurity community discussions initiated under the AB SecureIT project. When SecureIT was launched in 2020, the goal was to bring together Alberta’s 26 post-secondary institutions to strategize ways to share information and combat cybersecurity threats. We are now looking to bring Alberta’s K-12 community to the table.

On June 8, we will host our third quarterly community conversation with cybersecurity leaders across Alberta education (K-12 and PSI).

This session, running from 1:30pm - 3:00pm MT, will feature  a discussion on “Cybersecurity Insurance”. Three practitioners from across Canada — Christopher Nelson from Edmonton Public Schools, Eric Charleston from Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, and James Cairns from Bow Valley College — will discuss getting value from cybersecurity insurance, including integration into your overall security program, must-haves, and legal implications. They will then be available to answer your questions.

These quarterly conversations are aimed at the folks who act as the bridge between the technical practitioners and the executive-levels in their organizations. They are the ones who live in both worlds, pulling the strategic, the technical, and the tactical (or stratactical) together.

Please register here. A link to the webinar will be sent to registrants closer to the event date.
