Based on the feedback from Cybera’s members, we are expanding the depth and breadth of our cybersecurity community discussions initiated under the AB SecureIT project. When SecureIT was launched in 2020, the goal was to bring together Alberta’s 26 post-secondary institutions to strategize ways to share information and combat cybersecurity threats. We are now looking to bring Alberta’s K-12 community to the table.
On September 14, we will host our fourth quarterly community conversation with cybersecurity leaders across Alberta education (K-12 and PSI). This session, running from 1:30pm - 3:00pm MT, will feature a discussion on “What happens when you report an incident”. Representatives from CyberAlberta, The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS), and CanSSOC will discuss their incident reporting processes; including the incident information they’d like to receive, what happens to that information, and what sort of support they can offer you. They will then be available to answer your questions.
These quarterly conversations are aimed at the folks who act as the bridge between the technical practitioners and the executive-levels in their organizations. They are the ones who live in both worlds, pulling the strategic, the technical, and the tactical (or stratactical) together.
Please register here. A link to the webinar will be sent to registrants closer to the event date.
