Rapid Access Cloud
Cloud computing holds the potential to help Alberta researchers and IT entrepreneurs compete internationally.
Cybera’s Rapid Access Cloud provides free cloud computing resources for up to one year to Alberta-based academics, researchers, non-profits and small to medium sized organizations that are not covered by the national DAIR program.
It is intended to:
- Reduce the time it takes small and medium-sized enterprises to prototype, test and validate new ideas and bring products to market
- Help researchers compete more effectively
- Provide a staging ground for businesses to learn about running services in the cloud before moving to a commercial platform
How does Rapid Access Cloud work?
A Minecraft world lets K-12 students simulate the life of pioneers.
Researchers developed a social media app that measures video and photo views on Facebook.
A short animated film that was rendered in the cloud.
